Dive deep into each step of the creative songwriting process in this self-paced online course. When you’re done you’ll have a true understanding of what it takes to build a powerful song from beginning to end, the confidence to write music that feels true to you, and finally move past the blocks that have been holding you back.
Many years ago I had a cancer scare.
Blindsided by the realization that this might be my future, I begin to ask the real questions. And so, through crying tears, I asked the universe, “Why am I sick?”. The answer was clear almost immediately—“Because, dear Lisa, you are not doing your music.”
It was only then that I realized that making music was not a choice, but a necessity for me. It was a simple equation: Life = Music and Music = Living.
And that is when my journey began.
Years later, I’ve written numerous songs for myself and others and have made a career in the music industry, all because I had the courage to listen and respond and get busy doing what was in my heart. The great art of songwriting has enriched my life, taught me about myself, and led me to have amazing life experiences along the way.
To write a great song requires confidence in your craft along with a willingness to be intimate and honest in your expression.
I have designed this course to help bring you back to your heart. Even if you’ve never written a song before OR you have written many songs, the lessons in this course will have you looking at your songwriting from a new perspective and answering the real questions about the art you create.
The key to writing a great song is learning how to translate what you feel and observe into wonderful song material. That is what you will get out of this course—the ability to express your truest self through your music.
I am so excited to be able to offer this course to the songwriting community.
Let’s work together and see where the music takes us.
"During these 7 weeks, I was able to reflect and explore a lot of the many phases of the songwriting process. It was very helpful to be able to confront the roadblocks I have and the causes for them. I was able to revisit and edit songs that I've been working on and make some more progress in my songwriting. I'm excited and very encouraged to continue finishing songs and not giving up. Lisa, thank you for all the gems and tips you shared."

“I opened up in Week 6 when I read "Your Personal Story of Heroism". Bam! You hit me right between the eyes. Immediately I knew exactly what I was going to write about. On the spot, the lyrics came to me, as well as much of the melody. And I got to be the HERO of my own song! This would not have ever happened without your course".
